Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Just Tides app (hereby referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices that was created by ACRC (hereby referred to as the "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS."

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

The Application does not require registration and does not collect your name, email address, account details, or other information that directly identifies you.

Crash diagnostics

The Application uses Sentry to help us identify and fix crashes and technical errors. If the Application crashes or encounters an error, it may automatically send limited technical diagnostic information, such as the date and time of the error, the Application version, operating system version, device model, error details, and a stack trace.

Sentry is configured to collect the minimum diagnostic information needed for this purpose. IP address scrubbing is enabled, and we do not intentionally send your name, email address, precise location, account information, or other information that directly identifies you. Crash diagnostics are used only to maintain and improve the reliability and security of the Application, and not for advertising, profiling, or tracking you across other applications.

We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests in diagnosing technical problems and maintaining a reliable and secure Application. Diagnostic information is retained in accordance with the retention period configured for our Sentry account and is deleted when it is no longer required for this purpose.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

The Application does not automatically collect precise location information of your mobile device. However, the Application includes a feature where users can manually choose to share their location when using the map view. If you click the "My Location" button within the map view, the Application will request access to your device's location to pinpoint your position on the map. This location data is used solely for the purpose of showing your location on the map and is not stored or shared with any third parties.

If you do not wish to use this feature, you can simply decline the location request, and the Application will continue to function without accessing your location.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Limited crash diagnostic information is sent to Sentry, which processes it on our behalf to provide crash-reporting services. You can learn more about Sentry and its privacy practices in Sentry's Privacy Policy. We do not sell this information or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Children

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider at [email protected] so that the necessary actions can be taken. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).

Security

The Service Provider takes reasonable measures to safeguard the limited diagnostic information processed by the Application. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to this Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
